The companion book to Supernatural America: The Paranormal in American Art, an exhibit running at the Minneapolis Institute of Art from February 19, 2022 – May 15, 2022. If you’re in the area, I highly recommend visiting. The exhibit has an impressive range on art based on every type of interpretation of the word paranormal and haunted. Set aside at least a couple hours for this exhibit if you want to take your time and read/experience everything.

This book is well done and full of art that is so rarely on display in museums. I knew I had to get it even before we reached the end of the exhibit. The book itself is beautiful too with a semi-transparent cover featuring the first piece of art you’re greeted with at the exhibition.

The broad interpretation of the theme was mindfully done and made for a very expansive exhibit. I loved the channeled artwork and was pleasantly surprised to find the last part of the exhibition was aliens/UFOs. You can see art from Bud Hopkins and photos from George Adamski. We were thrilled! It was an excellent ending to an amazing exhibit.
